This two day course is an intensive introduction to painting with acrylic on canvas. The first day of class will start with exercises exploring the basic principles of acrylic painting, including color mixing and brush techniques. After students have mastered the basics, they will put their new knowledge into practice by completing a painting of a still life. The following day, students will spend the entire class period on a single painting of a more complex subject matter, applying skills learned in the class. This short class will allow students to learn the basics of this medium quickly and completely.
