Oil painting, focusing on landscapes. Weather permitting, classes will be held outdoors. When weather is bad, class will move indoors and switch topic to still-life. Beginning students will learn the basic materials and techniques necessary to move on to advanced still-lifes, portrait, figure, landscape, etc. Emphasis is on a simple strategy for approaching oil painting. Students will complete a painting each week. This class is also a continuing class for those who have completed a Beginning level course and wish to continue.

Level: Any. Basic knowledge of drawing is helpful, but not required.

Register before Feb. 20: $250, register Feb. 20 – March 4: $280
Register before April 16: $250, register April 16 – 29: $280
Register before June 18: $250, register June 18 – July 1: $280
Materials: $180 for full supply kit, or for continuing students, bring supplies from previous class.
