Description: A portrait every class day, we will start with sketches, blind contour drawings and move on to oil paintings. We will discuss great portrait painters, their techniques, the history of portraiture, and what makes a portrait in figurative painting. Students must be prepared to bring photographs of their subjects to class to supplement life drawing.
