Calligraphy can be used from addressing envelopes to creating works of art. Come and learn the techniques behind beautiful writing. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of calligraphy and one alphabet hand, modern uncial. This is a beautiful modern hand is written with a pointed pen. The use of a dip pen and ink will be taught, along with proper spacing and techniques. We will discuss good practice habits, correct posture and how to set up your writing desk. Basic instruction for addressing envelopes will be covered. This is a great class for students who have taken copperplate.

Level: Intermediate. Beginners welcome, but this is a more difficult hand than others.
