Description: Come and learn the techniques behind beautiful writing in this intensive study calligraphy class. The class will be a study of the foundational hand including some basic capitals. We will have plenty of time to get an in depth look at the forms that make up the foundationals. Students will spend the first 2 sessions exploring and practicing the letter forms. The use of a dip pen and ink will be taught, along with proper spacing, correct posture and good working practices. Creative applications for using calligraphy in your everyday life will be introduced. And all of our calligraphy projects will be combined into a book that we each make during the last class. Come join us in rethinking what calligraphy is all about while examining the foundational hand.
