Learn to make your own decorative Journals or Address Books. In this class we will make a Coptic stitched book. Using decorative paper, students will learn how to create their own unique hardbound book covers. Coptic binding is durable and allows your books to lay flat when open. Students will leave this class with all the knowledge required to make Coptic stitched books of any size, shape, or material. The basics of bookbinding will be presented; including signatures, paper grain, glues, threads, and needles. All supplies you’ll need for this class are included in the materials fee, but if you have a favorite paper you’d like to use, please feel free to bring it.
