Oil painting, focusing on the still life. Students will learn the basic materials and techniques necessary to move on to advanced still lifes, portrait, figure, landscape, etc. Emphasis is on a simple strategy for approaching oil painting. Students will complete a painting each week. This class is also a continuing class for those who have completed a Beginning level course and wish to continue.

Level: Any. Basic knowledge of drawing is helpful, but not required.
Class price: Register before December 21: $250, register December 21 – January 3: $280

Register before February 1: $250, register February 1 – 14: $280

Register before March 29: $250, register March 29 – April 11: $280

Materials: $165 for beginner’s kit
