Leslie Runnels is a mixed media artist and muralist, a Unitarian Universalist minister, and an anti-racist organizer from New Orleans. She moved into smaller format art journaling as a way to deal with the anxiety and disruption that the Covid pandemic brought into our lives. Moving from large scale paintings to a smaller and more private format removed a lot of the perfectionism that artists can have about their work - releasing those expectations allows us to explore and play more.
