Description: Students are introduced to calligraphy and one alphabet style: Roman Capitals. The letters will be drawn in pencil to grasp the basic forms. These are very dynamic letters with pressurized strokes. Once the forms are covered, students will gild one letter onto watercolor paper. We will also discuss proper spacing, good working practices, correct posture and how to set up your writing desk. Come join us in rethinking what calligraphy is all about while examining the Roman Capitals forms.
